MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) -- A Charleston-area educator and coach charged with molesting five boys once served as a foster parent.

Authorities revealed that during a bond hearing for 32-year-old Louis ReVille of Mount Pleasant on Thursday.

Officials said ReVille served as a state-sanctioned foster parent and four children were placed with him between 2004 and 2006. Authorities would not release the age or sexes of the foster children. The Post and Courier of Charleston reported two of them were boys.

The Department of Social Services said it received no complaints about ReVille at the time but said it is now conducting an internal investigation and working with authorities investigating the case.

ReVille's lawyer Craig Jones said during the hearing his client was "extremely remorseful" for his actions.
