LEXINGTON (WACH) - A Lexington County judge denied bond for a man charged with felony DUI.

Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green says 33-year-old James Prescott was under the influence of synthetic marijuana when he collided head on into a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Brady Weed September 13th.

Weed was killed, his son Drew survived the accident.

"From here, we're placing our faith in the judicial process," said Weed's brother Travis.

Prescott's attorney declined to talk about the case on camera to WACH-Fox.  Prescott's trial is set for December 1st.
