MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- Part of the history of the world can be found in the teeth and bones left behind millions of years ago, and some of them will be on display in an annual South Carolina fair.

The South Carolina Fossil Fair is scheduled for Saturday at Ocean Lakes Family Campground in Myrtle Beach. The free event allows visitors to see fossils from around the world, including shark teeth and prehistoric bones.

In addition, experts from the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of Natural History will attend and can identify fossils that visitors bring to the fair with them.

This year marks the 28th year for the event sponsored by the South Carolina Fossil Association.
