COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A man accused of shooting a local cab driver in Columbia over the weekend has been arrested, according to officials.
Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott says 22-year-old Justin Williams is charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.
Police took Williams into custody Friday in his neighborhood.
He is accused of shooting a 22-year-old cab driver in the back Sunday outside the Ames Manor Apartments on Ames Road.
The Blue Ribbon Cab Company driver says he picked up two males on Harden Street in his cab and dropped them off at the apartments.
When they arrived, the driver says one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot him in the back.
The driver drove himself to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
A second suspect is still on the loose.
