CAYCE (WACH) -- Cayce police are still looking for answers into a murder that happened nearly ten years ago.

Merry Shivers was shot and killed during a robbery at the Piggly Wiggly on Charleston Highway, just past the I-26 interchange.  She was working part time as a cashier at the store to make extra money for the holidays.

Lt. Jeffrey Simmons says the suspects burst into the store and fired several shots, killing Shivers and wounding another employee.

"We will eventually capture these individuals," said Simmons.  "There's people out there who know about this crime, and we urge them to come forward."

SLED is expected to conduct a 3D recreation of the crime to help bring investigators closer to solving it.

"We're here because of Merry Shivers, adds Simmons.  "We don't want to forget this woman."
