COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A board member who South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley bragged about this week was a campaign donor who allowed her to use his plane.

Haley said Department of Health and Environmental Control Chairman Allen Amsler helped speed work on a Boeing Co. plant in North Charleston.

An analysis Friday by The Associated Press of Haley's donor records and flight logs shows more than $18,000 in flights given by donors since November. Half the total was for personal use.

DHEC board member Kenyon Wells and Patriots Point Development Authority Chairman Ray Chandler also provided flights and were donors.

Haley's spokesman said Amsler provided flights to Morganton, N.C., to see her 4-year-old nephew battling cancer and later for his funeral. Spokesman Rob Godfrey says proper reports on the flights will be filed.
