COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Friday’s mean a lot of things in the Midlands.  Carolina football, weekends on the lake, and Dog WACH on Good Day Columbia.  This week, we met Athena.

Athena is a 2 year old female Siberian husky who came to Palmetto as part of the rescue efforts of the recent dog fighting ring.  She is a sweet lady, who is housebroken and very loving.  As with all the dogs that are waiting for their forever homes at the Pawmetto Lifeline, Athena has had her shots, is spayed, and has been micro chipped.

The adoption fee for dogs at the Pawmetto Lifeline is $150, which ensures your new family is healthy, chipped, and includes a leash, collar and a bag of food.

Athena, along with many of the dogs at the Pawmetto Lifeline also visit the Harbison Pet Smart every Saturday 11:30 am- 4:30 pm.

For more information about Athena or any of the animals logon to the Pawmetto Lifeline’s website.
