CHESTER, S.C. (AP) -- Some charities along Interstate 77 got an unexpected donation after a wreck in Chester County.

A truck carrying fruits and vegetables from Miami to Charlotte, N.C., overturned early Thursday and the shipping company decided to donate the food to local charities rather than try to get another truck to the scene.

The truck driver, 36-year-old Leanardo Perez of Hialeah, Fla., was not hurt. He's charged with driving too fast for conditions.

The Rev. Ronal King of Rock Hill's Feed the Hungry said the food was "manna from heaven."

Volunteers used trucks and even bulldozers to take hundreds of boxes from the wreck.

The truck was carrying apples, bananas, oranges, mangos, avocadoes, coconuts, ginger root, parsley, potatoes and dozens of other foods.
