WOODRUFF, SC (FOX Carolina) - Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office responded to a call Thursday morning in the fatal shooting of two farm animals in Woodruff.

Deputies said a llama and donkey had been shot to death in a pasture near Racetrack Road and Brown Kennedy Road, and another donkey had been shot several times but survived.

A neighbor told deputies that he heard around 15 to 20 gunshots around midnight Thursday and then heard a vehicle with a loud muffler drive slowly down the road next to the pasture. The neighbor did not see the vehicle.

Each animal received multiple gunshot wounds, according to the animal cruelty report.

The condition of the surviving donkey is not known at this time.

In the report, the animals' owner said the estimated value of the damage is $2,200.

Anyone with information is asked to Crime Stoppers at CRIME-SC.
