COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Richland County deputies still searching for the suspects involved in a shooting in the Lincolnshire community.
Sheriff Leon Lott says around 10:30 p.m. on September 18th a 72 year old man was in the kitchen of his home when he was shot several times in the upper body.
Two suspects knocked on the man's door and when no one opened the door, the suspects fired bullets through the door. The 72 year old man was taken to the hospital and is still in serious condition.
Lott says investigators have received information that the suspects went to the home to rob one of the residents.
The incident happened at 301 Saddlefield Road in the Lincolnshire community.
"This is someone that we need to get off the street, said Lott Thursday morning, "the community is in fear not only is the victim's family in fear the whole community in Lincolnshire is in fear."
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects should call, email or text tips to CRIMESTOPPERS. Tips could lead to a reward of up to $1000.
