Zumbathon: 2 hours for the love of a dog

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Dogs and zumba.  On the surface you might as yourself “what is the connection?”  Leigh Ann Crum and the Palmetto Lifeline are happy you did.  Zumba With Leighann and Zumba With Jenny are hosting a Zumbathon Friday evening with proceeds going directly to the Palmetto Lifeline, a no kill shelter in Columbia.

According to Leigh Ann Crum, the zumbathon, which runs 2 hours, will start at 6:00 pm, and feature a 30 minute Zumbtomic, which is a special program for kids.  After the first 30 minutes, the adults will continue with the fund raiser.  “We are providing free child care,” says Crumm, adding that they will also have several raffles with the proceeds all going to the Palmetto Lifeline.  The event is

Entry for the Palmetto Lifeline Zumbathon presale tickets are $15 and available until 6:00 pm Thursday.  Tickets at the door are $20, all going to the Palmetto Lifeline.  The event is at the North Springs Recreation Center, located at 1320 Clemson Road.  More information about the Zumbathon and Zumbatomic, which Leighann is certified to teach can be found at www.ZumbaWithLeighann.com.
