LEXINGTON COUNTY (WACH) - A Lexington mom is out of jail after being arrested Tuesday on charges she showed porn and provided alcohol during an overnight party for her 14-year-old son and two of his friends from a local soccer team.

According to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, Susan Russell Hammond, 47, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and she could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

The party allegedly took place July 26 at Hammond's home on Old Town Drive in Lexington. Sheriff James Metts said after the teens finished watching television Hammond went into her bedroom and returned with a porn flick along with shots of alcohol for the teens.

“The more exposure to pornography at an earlier age, creates a higher risk of deviant behavior later on in life. And that later on may be weeks, it may be months and it maybe even years, says Steve Arneson, Lake Murray Counseling.

Investigators say they were tipped off after one boy's mother found sexually explicit chats on Facebook between her son and Hammond.

“We did receive information that on August 13, Mrs. Hammond had engaged in a chat on facebook with one of the 14 year old boys, that included discussions about specific sexual acts that could be performed,” says Major John Allard, Lexington County Sheriffs Office.

She could face more charges if investigators find more evidence she sent inappropriate messages online.
