WEST COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Officials in West Columbia are investigating a Friday morning pharmacy robbery.

The West Columbia Police Department responded to a 911 call at the CVS on Sunset Boulevard around 9:45 a.m.

Investigators say the suspect demanded drugs from the pharmacist, implying he had a weapon.  Officials say he left with narcotics and got into the passenger side of a black late 1990's Mitsubishi Eclipse with black rims.

The suspect is described as a white male between ages 35 to 45 standing around 6' tall, weighing between 200-230 pounds.  Officials say he was wearing a red bandana on his head, sunglasses, a tan trench coat, blue jeans, white sneakers and a dust mask over his face.
