COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A 22-year-old coastal man was found dead in a dorm room on the campus of the University of South Carolina over the weekend.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says Daniel G. Osterkamp of Mt. Pleasant was found unresponsive around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officials say he was staying with a friend at USC.
Watts says the man died at some time between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. and there were no obvious signs of foul play.
The coroner's office is still waiting for the results of an autopsy that included a toxicology test.
SLED continues their investigation into the death. As part of procedure, SLED investigates all deaths on the campus.
