GREENVILLE, SC (WHNS) - An outdoor ice-skating rink will come to downtown Greenville in November, city leaders announced Tuesday.
The USB Ice on Main seasonal rink will open on Nov. 25 on Village Green at the new Main@Broad development.
The rink will employ custom fabricated equipment specifically designed to cool the rink even in a South Carolina winter.
The seven-week event will include holiday music and professional skating expos.
"I am absolutely convinced that UBS Ice on Main will become a great new downtown Greenville tradition," said Mayor Knox White. "It's not just for those who want to get out on the ice and skate. Ice skating is a spectator sport that the whole family can enjoy."
The rink will open daily for public skating. Tickets are $10 each.
More information about the rink can be found at iceonmain.net.
