ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (AP) -- Three sea turtles treated in recent weeks at the Sea Turtle Hospital at the South Carolina Aquarium are being released back into the ocean.

The turtle release is set for late Friday on the Isle of Palms.

The turtles include Beaufort, a 100-pound loggerhead sea turtle found floating in Battery Creek in Beaufort in May. The turtle was suffering from air trapped in its intestines.

Capers is a 94-pound loggerhead picked up by the state Department of Natural Resources during a loggerhead trawl survey in May. The turtle was anemic and suffering skin problems.

The third turtle being released in Laurel, a 7-pound Kemp's ridley snared by a fisherman in Beaufort in June. The turtle swallowed the hook and required surgery.
