Alzheimer's education planned for the Midlands

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The Alzheimer’s Association of South Carolina announces their 19th Annual Education Symposium, which will provide skills training and education to caregivers, family members, and heath workers who care of vicims of Alzheimer’s.

Through the use of “story telling, humor, and a variety of exercises,” the day long workshop, will feature Nancy Pearce, and provide skills and practices needed for care givers of Alzheimer’s patients.

Program Director Sheila Lewis says that The symposium is Friday, August 12 from 7:45 am-4:00 pm at the Columbia Conference Center, 169 Laurelhurst Avenue, Columbia.
