Columbia (WACH)—The National Night Out across the country is Tuesday, which includes approximately 107 neighborhoods in Columbia. 

Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin and the City are hosting a kick off party at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Monday, August 1 from 6-9 pm.  CPD Crime Prevention Sergeant Ron Felder said that there will be entertainment, speakers, food, and interaction with city officials and police.

The National Night Out kick-off event is free to the public, and more information can be found at the Columbia Police website, or by calling 803.545.3500.
