SC DMV opening new office in Moncks Corner

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) -- The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles is opening a new office in the Lowcountry.

The new facility in Moncks Corner is set to open to the general public on Monday.

It's replacing an older DMV office, which was set to close last week.

DMV officials are holding an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new location on Thursday.
