COLUMBIA (WACH) --Gas prices are down for the second straight week in Columbia.
Average retail gasoline prices in Columbia have fallen 0.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.27 per gallon Monday.
According to ColumbiaGasPrices.com, this compares with the national average that has increased 0.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.57 per gallon.
Including the change in gas prices in Columbia during the past week, prices yesterday were 84.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 19.4 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 19.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 84.0 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.
But South Carolina still ranks the lowest state in the nation when it comes to cheap gas. Spartanburg, Greenville, Myrtle Beach and Columbia all rank in the top ten list of cities with the lowest average prices.
