Bree Boyce crowned Miss South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Miss Capital City Bree Boyce of Florence has been crowned Miss South Carolina 2011.

The 22-year-old sang "Tu Tu Piccola Iddio" from the opera Madame Butterfly to win the 75th year of the competition on Saturday night in Columbia. She also won the preliminary swimsuit competition.

She will represent South Carolina in the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas in January.

The first runner-up was Miss Greater Lyman Mya Kayler; second, Miss Greater Carolina Lindley Mayer; third, Miss Greater Mauldin Lauren Cabaniss; and fourth, Miss Simpsonville Lara Scott

Miss Columbia Teen Caitlen Patton of Summerville was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen 2011.
