Buy bagels and help build houses for wounded soldiers this Fourth of July

Bruegger's Bagels is donating a portion of its proceeds during the July Fourth holiday weekend to Homes For Our Troops.

COLUMBIA (WACH) -- What do bagel and soldiers have in common?  You.

From Friday to Monday, Bruegger’s Bagels on Forest Drive is donating $1 from every Big Bagel Bundle it sells to Homes For Our Troops.

The national non-profit helps build custom houses for servicemen and women wounded in combat.

Homes For Our Troops recently completed a new residence in Columbia for Army SSG Ronnell Bradley, who lost both of his legs while serving in Iraq.

The special offer is good through July 4.
