COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Hundreds coming out to the 24th annual patriotic celebration hosted by First Baptist church in Columbia Sunday.

Several thousand people packing the sanctuary this afternoon for a flag-waving American celebration and to honor our veterans.

The event featured the First Baptist Church Choir and orchestra and even had indoor fireworks.

Every branch of the military was represented with a special presentation for World War 1, Korean War, Vietnam War and Middle East wars veterans.

"You can't get tired of celebrating certain things, and freedom is one of those things we should never get tired of celebrating.  It’s a privilege it's an honor and it's a response that we need to give to encourage people to come in and celebrate that freedom with us," says Vickie Jenkins, First Baptist Church.

The event sold out with over ten-thousand tickets given away.
