Deputies searching for convenience store attempted murder suspect

RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) -- Officials are searching for a suspect they say was involved in an attempted murder Wednesday night.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department says the suspect shot the victim in the upper body around 11 p.m. at the Li'l Cricket on Leesburg Road.

Witnesses tell investigators the suspect fired several shots and left.

The victim is recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
