SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) -- A Spartanburg man has been charged with attempted murder after police say a woman was pushed off a second-floor balcony at an apartment.
Twenty-three-year-old Ryan Kibler Edge was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies were called to a report of someone falling off a balcony and found a woman on the ground.
She was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment. Her name was not released and there was no word on her condition.
Deputies say the woman said she lived with Edge and was pushed off the balcony.
They say the couple's 7-month-old girl was in the apartment and was not hurt. She was placed with her grandmother.
Edge was being held in the Spartanburg County jail. It wasn't clear if he has a lawyer.
