WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH, AP) -- Officials with a toilet maker madea stop in West Columbia Monday to talk about the importance of water conservation.
American Standard's Responsible Bathroom Water Conservation Tour stopped at HD Supply on Sunset Blvd.
The company says it hopes the campaign will help educate the public about ways to save both water and money without much sacrifice.
"The average four person household can save around three hundred dollars a year, so you know it depends on what all they are doing in their house, but yes that's an average," said Tammy Powles, a bathroom showroom sales representative.
Part of the mobile exhibit includes hands-on demonstrations of water and energy-saving devices as well as information on money and energy savings using efficient bathroom products.
Another stop is planned in Greenville Tuesday.
