MARLBORO COUNTY (WPDE) -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an accident involving a single-engine plane in Marlboro County.

The plane was taking off from Stanton's Barbecue off Highway 79 on Stanton Road Sunday afternoon.

The restaurant has an airstrip for people who wish to fly-in and dine.

Officials with the Brightsville Fire Department say the plane veered onto its side after the pilot lost control.

Minor damage was reported. The pilot and his passenger, both of North Carolina, were not injured in the accident.
