COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina's attorney general and a Chesterfield County lawmaker have graduated from U.S. Army leadership courses.

Attorney General Alan Wilson and state Rep. Ted Vick completed courses last week at the United States Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Dix, N.J.

The men are both majors in the National Guard and have spent the last two weeks completing the yearlong training which prepares senior officers to execute plans during wartime.

The courses get the officers ready to handle joint operations among all the branches of the U.S. military.
