COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The city of Columbia is announcing a scheduled interruption to water service for customers in one neighborhood.

The outage will take place between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. this Thursday on the 1000-1100 blocks of Tree Street, 1300-1500 blocks of King Street and the 1300 block of Melrose Heights Street.

The project is part of the Gervais Street rehabilitation.  The city says the contractor it hired will try to keep the duration of the outage to a minimum.
