COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The city of Columbia says sewage was spilled into the Saluda River Monday near Greystone Boulevard near the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden.

The Wastewater maintenance Division says a blockage in a collection system caused the overflow into a storm drain that led to the river.

This area is a popular place for people to beat the heat.
