Suspect arrested in fatal moped hit and run

LEXINGTON (WACH) -- Police say they've arrested the driver involved in last Monday's fatal Lexington hit and run thanks to tips from community members and evidence from the scene.

Wednesday, the Lexington Police Department announced the arrest of 24-year-old Randall Houston Nordan who they say hit and killed kitchen manager Hiram Juarez Miller shortly after 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Industrial Boulevard and South lake Drive.

Surveillance video shows a truck hitting Miller at a high rate of speed and driving away without slowing down.

Nordan has been charged with hit and run involving death, simple possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.

Nordan is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.  His bond was set at over $100,000 at a hearing Thursday afternoon.
