GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a 17-year-old in South Carolina who shot his mother to death on Mother's Day is facing more charges.

Deputies say Joshua David McEachern was charged Tuesday with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

A judge on Monday denied bond for McEachern on a murder charge. Authorities say the teen shot his mother and brother Sunday night at the family's Greenville home after an argument, then called authorities to report the shooting.

It was not clear if McEachern has an attorney.
