GREER, S.C. (AP) -- Representatives from sheriff's offices in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens counties are selling tickets to support concerts raising funds to honor military veterans.

Deputy Matthew Armstrong of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said Thursday's event will be held at the Spinx convenience store in Greer.

Proceeds from the tickets sales will benefit the Honor Flight Upstate organization, which is a nonprofit group that flies World War II veterans to Washington to view the memorial built in their honor.

Armstrong said two concerts will be held May 19 and 20 at the Peace Center Amphitheatre in Greenville.
