COLUMBIA (WACH) - Gamecock baseball outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. will undergo surgery on Friday to repair his injured left wrist.

South Carolina head coach Ray Tanner says it is unlikely Bradley will return this year.

In the meantime - Bradley is staying positive. The College World Series MVP spoke out on Wednesday afternoon via his Twitter account.

"We will all witness this together. Surgery is Friday so then we will start the calendar," Bradley Jr. tweeted.

The Gamecocks will host Auburn on Friday at Carolina Stadium. First pitch is at 7pm. The game will also be televised on SportSouth.
