LEXINGTON (WACH) -- Lexington County Investigators say an undercover operation sends two illegal immigrants to jail.

Authorities say Laureno Gonzales and Pablo Hernandez are facing a charge for manufacturing marijuana.

Friday night police confiscated 150 small marijuana plants, two rifles and a shotgun at a home on Shealy Road near Batesburg.

Investigators say the two entered the United States illegally from Mexico.

Authorities believe the two would have used the plants at a clandestine indoor marijuana growing operation.

The case is also being looked into by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE agents are investigating whether Hernandez should face federal charges for illegally possessing the firearms.

The two are awaiting a bond hearing.
