COLUMBIA (WACH) -- After a gorgeous weekend across the Midlands we’re starting the work week on a hot and windy note.

In fact, the record high of 89 for Monday in Columbia was tied in the 5 p.m. hour according to the National Weather Service.

But don’t get to use to the unseasonable hot temperatures.  A cold front will move through South Carolina tonight and our highs will fall into the 70's behind it.  Highs in the mid 70's and lows in the upper 40's are seasonal for this time of year.
