COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Once again, former Washington Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs was in town hoping to score big with inmates in the Midlands.
The Super Bowl champ and NASCAR team owner was in Columbia Tuesday to inspire inmates at the South Carolina Department of Corrections on Broad River Road.
Gibbs encouraged them to make the most of their lives despite the tough times they're facing. He told them in order to win big in the game of life, they have to put God first.
"I think the biggest message for the inmates is God's a god of second changes," Gibbs explained. "We all are going to make mistakes. He forgives you."
After visiting with the inmates, Gibbs served as the keynote speaker at a luncheon at Columbia International University.
The organization helps those in need around the world while sharing the message of Jesus Christ.
