COLUMBIA  (WACH, AP) -- Columbia is kicking off the 8th Annual National Youth Violence Prevention Week with a "Praisefest for Peace."

The event today is the first in a series of youth-oriented activities intended to bring young people together in a positive way.

“Praisefest for Peace” was supposed to take place at Finley Park Sunday but due to the weather organizers changed the location to the C.A. Johnson High School auditorium.
