AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -- Dozens of employees at a former nuclear weapons plant near Aiken are teaming up for a day of service in their area.

Organizers say employees at the Savannah River Site are participating Friday in this year's Project VISION "Day of Caring."

During the daylong effort, workers will be repairing flooring and roofs at five different worksites. They're also clearing yard debris, painting and building shelves and wheelchair ramps.

Savannah River says its employees for years have teamed up for daylong community service projects.
