Murder for hire suspect arrested

CHAPIN (WACH) -- A Chapin woman accused of planning the murder of a former out of state relative is behind bars Tuesday.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division says 59-year-old Linda Turner has been charged with attempted murder and solicitation to commit a felony.

Turner paid an undercover agent on March 18 in Clinton to commit the killing according to authorities.

She was released from jail on a $125,000 bond.
