CONWAY, S.C. (AP) -- A 20-year-old Myrtle Beach man has pleaded guilty to an accessory charge in the shooting death of a Coastal Carolina student nearly three years ago.

Prosecutor Donna Elder says Demario Stukes was the last person facing charges in the 2008 shooting death of Corey Brooks.

Stukes pleaded guilty Tuesday in Conway to accessory after the fact of murder. Stukes will be evaluated before he is sentenced. The maximum penalty is 15 years in prison.

Stukes was originally charged with murder, but prosecutors agreed to the lesser charge after he testified against two other men.

Brooks was shot to death outside a home in Myrtle Beach.

Twenty-year-old Keion Griffin was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of murder. A second man is serving a juvenile sentence in the case.
