CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- A developer and philanthropist is speaking about his life's work at Clemson University.

J. Ronald Terwilliger is speaking at the university Thursday as part of the school's Charles Fraser Lecture Series.

Terwilliger has served as chief executive officer for Trammell Crow Residential Co., a national residential real estate company and developer of multifamily housing.

He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the Harvard Graduate School of Business and has also served as chairman of the Urban Land Institute, the Wharton Real Estate Center and the International Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity.

In 2009, Terwilliger donated $100 million to Habitat, the largest individual donation in the organization's history.
