LEXINGTON COUNTY (WACH) -- Teachers in Lexington School District One went from being teachers to students, at least for one day. Monday the district held an instruction fair for its teachers.

The goal of the fair is for teachers to take what they learned and incorporate that into their curriculum. The teachers say the fair not only benefits them, but also the students

“I think they'll benefit from my excitement of what I’ve learned. They'll be able to feel my excitement and they'll catch that excitement as we learn anatomy and physiology in my class,” said teacher Carol Geiger.

“Because it does renew our excitement about teaching, that consequently just flows over into the classroom when we find something we're excited about doing. I think that that always helps,” said teacher Kate Bailey

This year's fair had 120 sessions for middle and high school teachers and 130 sessions for elementary school teachers.
