COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Former NFL standout and South Carolina All-American Brad Edwards is being inducted into the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.
Edwards was among seven inductees announced Monday. Playing nine years in the NFL, Edwards was a starter when the Washington Redskins won the 1992 Super Bowl.
Edwards returned to his alma mater as an athletic administrator and now serves as an executive vice president at Newberry College.
Clemson's Chester McGlockton, who earned All-Pro honors with the Oakland Raiders, and longtime Lander University athletic director and basketball coach Finis Horne are also being inducted.
A ceremony is planned for May 23 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
