GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Officials say a Delta plane bound for Detroit returned to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport after the pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.
Airport spokeswoman Rosylin Weston says the plane landed at Greenville-Spartanburg at around 1:15 p.m. Monday.
The plane stopped short of the gate to let the 39 passengers off, and buses took them back to the terminal.
Officials say no injuries were reported. One of the airport's runways was closed briefly so the plane could be moved.
Investigators were trying to determine what caused the smoke.
