COLUMBIA (WACH) -- The snow that was predicted all week has moved quickly passed and didn't cause too many problems here in the Midlands.

According to SkyWACH Weather Anchor Henry Rothenberg, the snow did not stick to the streets as forecasted.

The Columbia area woke up to wet streets but other areas did see some accumulation on grassy areas.  The snowfall stopped by 7 a.m. and has already melted in most places.

Several school districts were operating on delayed starts Thursday including Newberry, Fairfield and Calhoun County.

A Winter Weather Advisory was lifted early Thursday morning.

The same storm system blasted states across a swatch of the nation, crippling some states.

As always, if you have pictures or video of snow you'd like to share, you can send it to mojo@wach.com.  We might just share it on-air.
