COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- The confirmation of Gov. Nikki Haley's choice to lead South Carolina's juvenile justice agency is moving forward.

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously Tuesday to approve nominee Margaret Barber of Fort Mill. Barber is currently chief of staff to agency director Bill Byars.

The full Senate will likely vote on her confirmation next week.

Haley asked Byars to leave the Department of Juvenile Justice to take over at the Corrections Department.

Byars received unanimous support last Thursday by a Senate committee. The full Senate is expected to vote on his confirmation this week.

The Senate has already confirmed Haley's picks to lead the state's commerce, labor, health, revenue and insurance agencies.
