TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Florence County sheriff's deputies say a Timmonsville man has been arrested in the shooting death of a man following an argument.

Florence County Coroner M.G. Matthews says 27-year-old Coraygus Ansonio Hodges of Darlington died after he was shot about 11:15 p.m. Monday in Timmonsville.

Twenty-five-year-old Carlynias Marquis Pettigrew is charged with murder.

Sheriff's deputies think Pettigrew fired several shots as Hodges was backing out of the driveway after the men had argued.

Pettigrew is being held in the Florence County jail. It was not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
