WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Specialty food producers in South Carolina are meeting to get the latest news on industry guidelines.
The South Carolina Specialty Food Association gathers Tuesday at the new South Carolina State Farmers Market in West Columbia.
Organizers with the state Department of Agriculture say the meeting includes information about new food safety regulations, as well as an update on the Certified SC Program.
There are also discussions on how to package products economically and a panel discussion on "Living the American Dream" by organization members who have become successful with their specialty food products.
