COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Midlands groups and businesses are coming together to make sure revelers get home safe this New Years Eve.

Columbia's Budweiser distributor, Checker Yellow Cab, the Free Times and Inner City Broadcasting have teamed up to offer free rides home or to their hotel as party goers welcome 2011.

Rides will leave from the fountain in Five Points and the Liberty Tap Room in the Vista and will drop you off in Richland and Lexington counties.

Cabs will run from 11 p.m. until 3 a.m.

And those not partying in those areas won't be left out.  You can call to be picked up with a free ride up to $10.

Call 799-3311 to set up a ride.  Make sure you let the driver know before the ride that you are a Budweiser Alert Cab Rider.

And while they're offering this public service, Budweiser wants to remind all party goers to drink responsibly.
